When is #SCC74 taking place?

#SCC74 will be kicking off on Monday, December 7th and conclude on Friday, December 11th.

Is there a reason you selected these dates?

Yes, just like with a traditional in-person meeting, we need to book space on the virtual platform. Also, because the content is being expanded to a week-long event, we felt as though moving it earlier in the month of December would be more convenient for our attendees to avoid the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

Where can I find the programming and schedule for #SCC74?

The schedule for #SCC74 is now available! #SCC74 will include 2 keynotes and 8 exciting sessions featuring more than 30 speakers, a virtual exhibit hall, and online networking events to connect with cosmetics and personal care industry participants from around the globe. Registrants will have access to recordings of the full program for 90 days after the program concludes. Register for #SCC74 Today!

How do I register for #SCC74?

We are excited to have you join #SCC74!  Registration for the SCC Virtual Annual Meeting & Showcase is now open and the program agenda can be viewed here.

Why are you charging a fee for #SCC74 if it is a virtual event?

The SCC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to advance cosmetic science. We do that by:

  • Offering education programs and publications to help cosmetics and personal care professionals keep current on the latest technology, process, and ingredient developments.
  • Creating awareness by promoting a deeper understanding of the industry’s critical educational, cultural, scientific, and economic contributions to society with policymakers, the press, and the public.
  • Providing information, resources, and learning opportunities on topics vital to the future viability, relevance, and sustainability of cosmetics and personal care industry.

Unfortunately, like many of our member companies, the SCC stands to lose significant revenues due to the cancellation of the annual meeting and all other in-person events since March 2020. Though we have transitioned to a virtual meeting this year, there are still a myriad of technology investments needed to produce the event in a meaningful and engaging way for our attendees, speakers, poster presenters, exhibitors, and sponsors.

We remain committed to providing learning and networking opportunities for the industry, and we are excited to experiment with a new way to connect with you. Your registration fees offset our actual virtual meeting costs and support our year-round expenses, as well as our ability to provide free and low-cost tools, services, programs, and resources for our chapters and members.
